Abstract: Spiritual and Natural Connection

. Falconry is the practice of raising and handling birds, developing a significant relationship between the bird and the falconer. Multi-species relationships exist within nature, while falconry exist in human nature. Falconry challenges the idea of being human, creates an outer body experience for the handler, while developing a symbolic relationship with a different species. Humans have been domesticating animals for centuries, but the falcon can never be fully tamed, as this relationship is built solely on trust. The transcultural value of falconry is known and practiced all over the world, removing humans from the "prison of culture".
